Cultural Heritage Trust Volunteer Opportunities

Pockoy Island Shell Ring Excavation

Within the Southeastern United States, more than 19,000 archaeological sites will be submerged by the end of the century. Unfortunately, Pockoy Island Shell Ring 1, one of two shell rings located on Pockoy Island, will be gone by 2024. Rapid archaeological investigation is critical, and you can help!

Volunteers of all ages are welcome to help sift for artifacts!
